Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to learn to skate?

This varies according to each skater and depends on your goals. Practicing during our public skating sessions will greatly accelerate the process.

  • What if I have never skated before?

Our class is designed to accomodate all levels, especially those who are skating for the first time. Our talented and certified coaches will teach you the fundamentals and have you skating confidently in no time.

  • I want to become a hockey player. Is this the right class for me?

We recommend taking this class first if you are not able to skate on your own. Once you are able to stop, skate backwards, and perform crossovers you will be able to move on to our learn to play hockey program.

  • Do you have inline skates available for rent?

Only traditional roller skates are available for rent. However, our pro shop sells inline skates and offers a 10% discount to class participants.

  • Should I bring protective equipment?

If you are a beginner we recommend you bring a bike helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads.

  • Is this class for intermediate skaters too?

Yes. Whether you are a beginner or just looking to improve your existing skills our classes are for you. Groups are separated according to ages and skill level.

  • Will we be skating on a wood floor?

Our roller rink is an AAU certifed facility. Our Sport Court flooring allows for the best and safest skating surface to learn on.
