YOUTH HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE

Palm Beach Skate Zone’s Youth Hockey Development League strives to be an athlete centered program that provides a high quality experience in which every athlete:

Has fun playing
Learns the game of hockey (rules, new concepts, penalties, etc)
Learns and improves individual skills (skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, etc)
Becomes a better teammate
Learns “life lessons” that have value beyond the ice rink

6U SUPERHERO LEAGUE

Focuses on the FUNdamentals of hockey including skating, stickhandling, and passing. Practices are station based and have a huge emphasis on fun and learning the game. Games are played cross-ice.

8U YOUTH REC LEAGUE

8U YOUTH REC LEAGUE

Focuses on teaching appropriate skills and concepts through station-based practices and small area games. Practices are aimed to give players several puck touches and movement to help develop their hockey skills and senses. Games are played on a half-ice surface. There is an emphasis on playing hard and having fun compared to winning and losing.

10U | 13U | 16U REC LEAGUE

REC LEAGUE

Focuses on teaching appropriate skills and concepts through station-based practices and small area games. Teaching concepts of full-ice hockey through stations and full-ice drills. Practices are aimed to give players several puck touches and movement to help develop their hockey skills and senses. Games are played on a full-ice surface.
